Functions

Novice Mode – The Cut Premium mod starts with the novice mode, which limits the wattage based on the detected ohms. Under this mode, you cannot adjust to your desired wattage. For example, the coil resistance you’re vaping is 0.5ohm, the system will decide you can only vape at 55W, you cannot adjust your wattge to 56W or 54W. This is good for vape safety. But I think they should consider below factors to decide the wattage: Safety, Flavor & Vapor production. Or they can offer a choice for the users if they want to adjust the system decided wattage: Are you sure to… Yes/No.

Advanced Mode – There are some mode in the advanced mode – TC, PMG (Power Curve) and Bypass. Power increases in 0.1w increment up to 30w and 1w increment up to 220w. It will stop automatically at 220w, but one more press will make it round back to 5w. Power Curve Mode is also easy to use, but rather than displaying actual wattage it displays a percentage.

Display – You can change the text color: green, blue, purple, white and red. The big Desire Logo color is also changeable. The logo can be set to light up when fired only, always on or always off.

Design and Build Quality

Overall, everything fits together nicely and the paint finish feels solid at hand. There are 3 strong magnets on the battery door, you cannot remove the battery cover easily, trust me.

The screen – I like the very detailed info displayed, but there are some problems with it. You cannot read the info easily as the screen is not big enough. And we cannot change the brightness, the original display is a bit dark, hard to read if you’re vaping under sunshine.

Buttons – The buttons are easy and comfortable to click. It is more comfortable for left hand users.

510 connection – The original Bulldog fits the mod perfectly, but if you’ll plan to use a bigger tank or RDA (26mm) on it, problem comes.

Performance

The kit is easy to use with clear navigation & ergonomic in my left hand.

The Novice mode is pretty good for starters, just connect your tank and vape on. I have try some subohm tanks and RDA/RTA on it, I am happy with the wattage system decided for me.

The Bulldog subohm tank is amazing with the mesh coil, I love the vapor production & decent flavor. Easy top filling system.

Overall, its a nice kit, I would rate it 8.9 points out of 10.

Pros & Cons

  • Pros:

  • Very nice mesh tank
  • Changeable colors for texts & logo
  • Detailed screen
  • Cons:
  • Screen can be bigger to display so many details
