Design & Quality

Frankly, the Koko Prime is the most colorful and beautiful Uwell products, and the replaceable panels will enrich your selection, other Uwell products’ colors are plain, such as Caliburn Koko and Caliburn G. The overall size is a bit larger than the original KOKO, as they increased the battery capacity to 690mAh, but still a compact size. Though it is an upgraded KOKO, all accessories are not compatible. The New Koko Prime uses the same coils and pods of Caliburn G.

The front and back panels are replaceable, and there are 6 different colors of panels available, you can custom different appearances for both panels. The panels are connected via strong magnets, will not get off the device easily. So does the pod.

The finish of the whole device is good and feels good at hands. Same as Caliburn G, the pod is able to hold 2ml e-liquid and coils are changeable – there are 2 1.0 Ω coils in the package, you can purchase 0.8 Ω coils separately. So why not make it 2 different coils in the package?

Overall, I am happy with the design and quality.

The Koko Prime Device

It’s good to see they increased the battery capacity to 690mAh and the max output wattage was increased to 15W, should be the result of the lower coil resistance than that of Koko. Except the replaceable panels, there are some other points I’d like to mention:

Charging – it can be charged via the USB C port with 1.6A rate at the bottom of the device, which is not a good place as it cannot stand while charging.

Battery indicator – There is a LED battery indicator at the side of the device, it will tell you the battery level while vaping:

  • Green light – battery level is over 60%
  • Blue light – battery level is between 30% and 60%
  • Red light – battery level is uner 30%, suggest you to charge it ASAP, the 30% battery will not last long.

Airflows – though it is not a device with adjustable airflow, there are 2 different airflows if you install the pod differently.

Operation – it is a draw-activated device, no button design. So it is very easy to use.

Lanyard – I am not a fan of this, so no comment for it.

Koko Prime Pod & Coils

The pod capacity is 2ml and coils are changeable. You can fill the pod from the top by removing the top cap. The filling hole is pretty big you can fill it up easily.

Coil changing is also easy. Unfortunately, they did not give 2 different coils in the package, both coils are 1.0ohm in resistance.

Performance

I prefer the pod air inlet hole close to the device air inlet hole for a restrict DL vaping, the draw is fine for me, not too tight or loose. For MTL airflow, I thought the draw is too tight for me.

The flavor is super good and the vapor production is not bad, acceptable.

The coil is able to last for 7 refills for me before there is a noticeable flavor drop.

For the battery life, if I vape it all day long, I need to charge it twice a day.

Right now, I am using the 2nd coil and no leaking problem occurs.

Though there is a window at the side of the device to check the juice level, it’s hard to check. So better to take out the pod to check the juice level.

Pros

  • Good flavor
  • Beautiful colors & replaceable panels
  • Coil changeable
  • Bigger battery capacity
  • USB C charging
  • Top filling
  • Easy to use

Cons

  • 2 same coils, why not make 2 different coils?
  • Hard to check the juice level without removing the pod
  • Charging port is at the bottom, cannot stand while charging
