Squid Industries Squad Review

Spread the love

The Squid Industries SQUAD 30W Pod System was sent from BuyBest for the purpose of review. It is a versatile pod system, integrating a 1300mAh rechargeable battery, and working with 3 different type of pods to suit individual preferences: Metal tank, RBA tank and disposable tank. I only got the metal tank version with 0.6ohm mesh coil for this review. Lets check it out how it vapes.

Design & Building

Overall, there is no complaints here. The whole kit size is pretty compact, feels good at hands. And the color is attractive. It reminds me the IJOY MERCURY, they are similar in appearance, but the SQUAD came with a OLED screen.

The Battery

The SQUAD battery holds 1300mAh capacity, which is big enough for wholeday vaping. I love the power button design, which looks very attractive. And the bright OLED screen will show you detailed parameters clearly – wattage, puff, resistance, voltage, battery level and more. There is long juice window for you to check the juice level, and 2 adjustment buttons under the juice window. Battery can be charged via the micro USB port. It may take around 2 hours to get it fully charged.

The Tank

The refillable tank is able to hold 2ml juice with replaceable coils. And you can adjust the airflow just like using an subohm tank. The filling hole locates at the top side under the drip tip. You can fill the tank very easily, no mess, no leak.

The main cons here is the drip tip – it is a fixed drip tip, no chance to change it to your own drip tip. But for me, I think the drip tip is pretty good, not too big or small, very good for MTL vaping.

They do make it work with other popular coils, including Aspire Nautilus coil and Artery HP coil. So no need to worry when you use up the official coils.

How it Vapes

I have vaped it for 10 days before posting this review, the day when the coil dead. The coil came with the kit is a 0.6ohm mesh coil rated for 15-23W. During my test, I found 20W is the best for me. The flavor is very good and the vapor production is also impressive.

Overall, the whole kit is very easy to use – stall the coil, fill the tank up, turn the battery on and vape it. So it is a good choice for all starters.

The coil life is excellent, 10 days is able to match any popular coils in the market.

Pros & Cons

Pros:

  • Love the appearance
  • Good battery life
  • Long coil life
  • Flavor is good
  • Easy to use
  • Compatible with Nautilus coil

Cons:

  • Drip tip is not replaceable
  • Only came with 1 coil, better to have another spare coil
