Design & Building

The first impression on the Vaporesso Renova Zero Pod System is pretty good, it’s small in size, comfortable in hands. There is a built-in 650mAh battery and takes 45 minutes to charge. The micro USB port is located on the bottom of the device. Visually, the charging cable in the kit is better than others though the function is the same. There is a small mode button located next to the bottom. It’s nice and clicky.

Operations

The Zero is a variable wattage pod system by clicking the mode button for 3 times. And there is battery life indicator to tell you the battery level. You can also turn it on/off by clicking the mode button 5 times. Its good to turn it off for a auto-draw pod system to avoid auto-fire in your pocket.

  • Wattage info:
  • Red light: 9W
  • Blue light: 10.5W
  • Green light: 12W
  • Battery life:
  • Green – High (Over 70%)
  • Blue – Medium (30%-70%)
  • Red – Low (Under 30%)

Fill the pod

The “PTF” (Press to fill) system is pretty easy to use, I really enjoy this kind of filling system. It never leaks. If your juice bottles are glass tips, no worry, there is a spare 10ml bottle in the package for you to fill the pods.

Performance

The pod contains a 1.0Ω ceramic coil, just right for MTL vaping. While the airflow is pretty tight for me, overall the flavor is amazing, though the vapor production is average to low. Not too bad on the vapor production, just a bit under my expectation on a 12W pod.

The autodraw function worked pretty good, draw it and it works right away, sensitive!

There is one more function impressed me – no dry hit. The chipset in this tiny pod system is innovative. I have tested this for many times, every time my juice was very low, I never got any dry hit. Impressive.

Pros & Cons

  • Pros:
  • Good size and build
  • Love the filling method
  • Variable wattage
  • Battery indicator
  • No dry hit
  • Leak free
  • Good flavor with ceramic coil
  • Fast charging
  • Cons:
  • Coil is not changeable, and no spare pod in the kit
  • Make it a bit higher wattage output to 15W to get a better vapor production?

Overall, the Renova Zero is one of my favorite pod system right now. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to try a new pod. You can learn more about it here, and Vaporesso released some new awesome colors. Check it out.
