The Lost Vape Lyra Pod kit was sent from Cigabuy for the purpose of review. I believe most vapers are familiar with Lost Vape, who is the manufacturer of Orion Q pod system and some high end DNA chip box mods. Lyra is their new pod kit, lets check it out how it performs.

Design & Building

Overall, the Lyra is a solid feeling AIO Pod kit. The cover panel finish is excellent and it feels very well built in general. There’s a Micro USB port at the base of the device for charging and 2 nicely sized airflow holes on each side. You can also screw the lanyard onto the side, personally I dont wanna anthing hang around my neck, so I will not use the lanyard.

The pod can be removed from the device by simply pulling it out. And it adopts removable coils, and is also refillable via the 2 filling slots, either side of the coil under the mouthpiece. It is a top filling system, you need to remove the mouthpiece to fill it up. The removable mouthpiece section is very hard to open, maybe out of the sealing reason, but overall, it is a well built solid little stuff. The mouthpiece is very comfortable to vape in the mouth, both size and sharp are great.

Operation

  • Turn it on/off: 5 click – the LED ring around the fire button will flash 5 times.
  • Wattage selection: 3 click – the tiny LED indicator will illuminate Green, Blue or Red depending on your wattage selected
  • 0.6Ω Mesh coil (DL)
  • Green = 20w
  • Blue = 18w
  • Red = 16w
  • 1.2Ω Regular coil (MTL)
  • Green = 11w
  • Blue = 10w
  • Red = 9w

These multicolored LEDs also indicate the battery level. When firing the device, it will light up in a given color, which indicates battery life. I was able to get through a pod and a third or so before I saw the red light pop up. Once red is on, it is time to charge.

  • GREEN – 65%-100%
  • BLUE – 15%-65%
  • RED – 0-15%

Performance

There are 2 small holes located high up, on either side of the device, which is not adjustable. If you like a tight MTL draw this won’t hit the spot, and if you like masses of airflow then this isn’t the system for you. It’s somewhere in between.

0.6ohm Mesh coil:
Flavor is good and nice vapor production. Coil lasts long I believe, I vaped with this coil for 3 days then switched to another coil. It should be able to vape a week or more.

1.2ohm regular coil:
Vapor production is good, but the flavor is a bit light. Coil lasts long.

I experienced no dry hits with either coil and I’ve been using this device for almost 8 days. But there was a bit leaking problem, not sure why but sometimes it leaked from the bottom.

Pros & Cons

  • Pros:
  • Top filling system is good
  • Changeable coils
  • Coils lasts long
  • Mesh coil is good for flavor and vapor production
  • Wattage adjustable
  • Cons
  • Mouthpiece is very hard to remove
  • Leaked
