Today I am going to review the Vandy Vape Kylin M RTA sent by CigaBuy. The Kylin M is a mesh coil RTA, previously I have reviewed the WOTOFO Profile Unity Mesh RTA, lets check it out which is better.

Appearance & Building

The Kylin M RTA looks very attractive for me, rainbow is my favorite color. It is a bit heavier but shorter than other Kylin atomizers. Very comfortable at my hand. 24mm diameter allows it to work with almost all box mods in the market. The building quality is top level with just the slightest crunching when I first took it apart, now juiced up everything goes together smoothly.

Deck & Wicking

The deck is very simple – a single mech coil deck. Its very easy to install the mesh coil there – blend the mesh coil with the tools in the package, then screw the mesh coil on the deck.

For wicking, its not a easy job for all RTA, so as the Kylin M RTA. Bad/wrong wicking will lead to problems like leaking, burnt taste, bad flavor…

I have used the WOTOFO Profile Unity with OFRF Mesh coil for a while, so I also used the OFRF Mesh coil on the Kylin M RTA, same wicking method. I got it done nicely very fast.

Airflow & Filling

Unlike other RTA’s bottom airflow, the Kylin M RTA applied a honeycomb style top airflow system, there are 19 airslots each side, total 38 airslots. You can adjust the airflow easily just like the RDA. Personally I dont like this design, as the flavor is not the best for top airflow and its noisy when you vape with honeycomb airslots.

Similar with other subohm tanks, the Kylin M RTA also applied a top filling system. But it asked you to remove the whole top cap to refill the RTA. I belive it can be more user friendly to have a design without asking you to remove the whole top cap, just like the refill system on the FreeMax Fireluke 2.

Flavor & Cloud

Just like I mentioned, the top airflow system cannot bring the best flavor experience. For me, the flavor on Kylin M RTA I can rate it 7 out of 10. Its not the best obviously, also not the worst.

While the cloud production is amazing due to the honeycomb top airflow system. I believe Vandy Vape team decided to give up some flavor but increase cloud production when they designed this RTA.

Flavor or cloud, which one will you pick? Definitely flavor for me.

Profile Unity Vs Kylin M

I love the flavor on Profile Unity, while Kylin M produced a better vapor. But my policy to choose a RTA is flavor first. So Profile Unity wins for me.
