Vaptio Cosmo Kit Review

Spread the love

The Cosmo kit was sent to me from Vaptio for the purpose of review. To be honest, I am not very familiar with this brand, if you check their website, you will find the Cosmo kit is a baby device compared to their other big power mods.

Cosmo kit is something like the Justfog kits – easy to use starter kit, pocket friendly. Let’s check more about this device.

Design & Building

Overall, the whole kit is very small, pocket size, ergonomical design. It feels pretty comfortable at your hands. I love the fire button design, it is big, at the right position. The paint they used is of high quality and gives it a welcoming appeal that we appreciated, no fingerprint will leave on the device. Just bright and clean. I love the blue color I received.

Cosmo Mod

This small mod holds a 1500mAh built-in battery, that’s impressive. It also offers 3 levels of wattage output by pressing the wattage selection button under the power button: H-M-L.

  • H – High
  • M – Medium
  • L – Low

There is a tiny RGB dot that appears when you release the fire button, which is used as a battery indicator:

  • Blue – High (70-100%)
  • Green – Medium (30-69%)
  • Red – Low (0-29%)

Basically, this mod is very easy to use, select the output wattage based on the coil resistance you are using, then press the fire button to vape. Simple and easy, right?

Cosmo Tank

This tiny tank is able to hold 2ml eliquid, a bit small but not bad. The drip tip is replaceable standard 510 drip tip, you can replace it with your own tips. Remove the top cap, you will find 2 big juice holes for refilling, easy to refill!

Another impressive feature is the airflow system. Not like other sub-ohm tanks to rotate the bottom base to adjust the airflow, the Cosmo needs to rotate the tank body to achieve airflow adjustment. And when you try to close the airflow, you will see there are 2 small air slots. I believe people who prefer MTL vaping will love this design.

The Coils

The Cosmo supplies 2 coils in the package. C1 for MTL, C2 for DL. They are match with its airflow system.

  • C1 – 1.6ohm Kanthal coil for MTL vaping, best for 10-15W
  • C2 – 0.7ohm Kanthal coil for DL vaping, best for 15-23W

What’s more, if you’re out of original Vaptio coils, you can easily find replacement, as the Aspire Nautilus coils are compatible with the Cosmo tank. Aspire Nautilus coils are one of the most popular coils in the market, almost every vape shop sells them.

Performance

I have been vaping with this kit for a week (3 days for the C1 coil, 4 days for the C2 coils). Both coils worked extremely well. The flavor is good, vapor production is also impressive, but personally I dont like the cool vapor it produced. I prefer a bit warm vapor just like the SMOK Novo 2.

Compared to the popular mesh coils right now on the market, the Cosmo coils will not cost you too much juice. I checked the both coils after a week of vaping (the juice I used was 80VG/20PG), they are pretty new and look like they are able to be used for another week or more.

The 1500mAh battery is far more enough to supply your wholeday vaping, but I do hope they can make the tank capacity bigger, I need 3.5ml a day.

Pros & Cons

  • Pros:
  • Easy to use for any starters
  • Flavor is good
  • Will not cost you lots of juice
  • Big battery capacity
  • Coils last long and Nautilus coils are compatible
  • Cons:
  • No spare glass tube
  • Make it bigger juice capacity
  • Vapor is cool, I prefer warm vapor

Compared to the flooded pod system in the market, the Cosmo kit reminds us the original starter kits. If you dont like the pod systems, I will recommend this tiny Cosmo Kit for you to get started. It will deliver you excellent vaping experience.

You can get the Cosmo Kit at Vaptio official site at $39.99. Check it out there.
