18650 Trend? VOOPOO VINCI X 70W Kit Review

Spread the love

The VINCI X 70W kit was sent from VOOPOO for the purpose of review. When it comes to pod mod, I believe most vapers will have the VOOPOO Vinci and SMOK RPM40 in the mind. I did not use the Vinci, but I do believe there are some excellent upgrades in the Vinci X, especially the replaceable 18650 battery setup. I have vaped with the Vinci X for 2 weeks before this review. Lets check how it vapes.

Design & Building

The whole kit is 117 x 29.5 x 25.3mm in size, I believe it is a bit higher and larger than the Vinci as there is a 18650 battery slot in Vinci X. For me, this size is absolutely OK. What surprised me was the feeling when you hold it in the hands, Vinci X is one of the best I have ever used. You may feel a bit heavy when the battery installed and pod fully filled, the body was constructed by Zinc ally.

Overall, I have no big complaints here, happy with it.

Vinci X Mod

The Vinci X mod is able to fire up to 70W powered by single 18650 battery. 70W, I believe it is the highest wattage for the same type of vape devices in the market. Comapred to built-in batteries, personally I prefer 18650 battery devices for longer battery supply and maybe longer device life span.

The smart GENE AI chip inside the mod is also amazing, it is able to detect the coil resistance and recommend you a output wattage. Users cannot adjust the wattage when it reaches the uplimit of the recommended wattage. I love this setup, as it helps to avoid coils being burnt out.

There is also a 0.96 inch color screen to display all info you want, including wattage, battery level, puffs, vaping time, coil resistance, voltage and more. You can also use it as a watch to check your local time.

Here are some basic operations, for more you can refer to the user manual:

  • 5 clicks the power button – turn it on/off
  • Hold the power button & “+” button at the same time – lock/unlock the device. Once locked, you cannot fire the device or adjust the wattage;
  • Hold the power button & “-” button at the same time – clear the puff counts
  • Hold the “+” button & “-” button at the same time – enter the puff interface, where you can check the puffs you vaped in last 2 weeks;
  • Hold the power button, “+” button and “-” button at the same time – enter the clock interface, where you can adjust the time settings.

The main cons here will be: when the battery was removed from the device, all info will be cleared, including the puffs, puff history and time settings. That means if you dont wanna lose those info, please charge the battery via micro USB port, never take it out to charge on external battery chargers. While, I believe most vapers will prefer to charge 18650 batteries on external battery chargers for safety issue.

The Pod and Coils

The pod is able to hold 5.5ml ejuice, which is a huge capacity compared to other pods. Also it is compatible with free base eliquid and Nic salts. You can check your ejuice level easily via the grey pod. There are also dual airflow slots, which can be adjusted by rotating the pod 180 degrees.

It comes with a 0.3 ohm PnP-VM1 mesh coil, rated for 32 to 40 watts and a 0.6 ohm PnP-VM4 mesh coil rated for 20 to 28 watts. The VINCI X is also compatible with all other VOOPOO PnP coils.

How it Vapes?

Overall, I love both coils in the kit, both produced very nice flavor and vapor production.

But both coils are not able to hit 70W, same with all other PnP coils. So why they made it 70W? Will they make new coils or RBA?

RBA will be a good choice.

Summary

I believe the Vinci X will be one of my favorite pod mod in coming months, and cant wait for the RBA! If you’re a Vinci user already, it will not cost too much to upgrade, as the pod and coils are the same. I would also recommend it to everyone, for starters, the Vinci X is perfect for you out of the smart GENE AI chip, for experienced vapers, Vinci X is also a good choice with extra RBA coil.
