The Pandora PCC for Juul was sent from Wellon for the purpose of review. It is a high end gadget compared to other Juul PCCs. As it came with a fingerprint locker. You cannot open it without authorization. Lets check it out.

Background

Design & Building

The whole box is in a perfect size to carry it every where, you can hold it in your hands or put it in your pockets.

There are 1 slot for Juul kit to charge and another 3 slots for pods, you can carry up to 4 pods with this case, that means 4 different flavors you can carry. The size of each slot is just perfect, not too big or small, you can put your Juul and pods into it easily.

There is a magnetic connection with the charging port, you can feel the magnetics once the Juul battery is around the connection.

The weight of empty Pandora is around 150g, and it will be around 350g when you put Juul kit and pods in. Not heavy at all.

The main materials of the case are ABS and Zinc alloy, no sharp edges with very good hand feeling.

Fingerprint

What makes it distinctive is the fingerprint section. Put your finger on the window, then the box opens with a beep sound. I really enjoy this operation. Years ago, I also like to play fidgets or pens, now I switch to play the Pandora PCC. Touch it and opens with a nice sound, then close it, repeat!

Enroll fingerprints – follow the user manual you cannot do it wrong to enroll your fingerprints. But remember below points:

The first enrolled fingerprint is the Admin, which is able to authorize new users and remove all users;
Make sure enroll your fingerprints from different angles, otherwise you may not be able to open the case, as the device only accepts those enrolled fingerprints. For a same finger, there are lots of different fingerprints.

The Pandora is able to enroll 40 different fingerprints, that is to say it accepts 40 users, you can authorize 39 users, that is enough for almost all Juul users! Personally my suggestion is: Enroll 3-5 fingerprints of you own, the first 1 is the Admin, the rest for backup.

Fingerpring sensing – the Pandora reacts pretty fast for a recognized fingerprint, touch it and it opens immediately, if need to give it a time, it should be less than 0.5 second. For unrecognized fingerprints, it just blinks with blue indicator. There is a very low possibility for a unenrolled fingerprint to have the case opened – 0.001%.

Charging

Charging the Juul – the Pandora is 1000mAh battery capacity with 350mAh output. Based on my experience, your Juul will be fully charged in 45-50 minutes, and it will be able to charge your Juul fully 3 times.
Charging the case itself – it may need 1 hour to get it fully charged via micro USB port on the botton.

Indicator

There are 5 indicators above the fingerpring collection window. They will tell you below info:

Battery level – each indicator stands for 20% battery
Charging status – each indicator stands for 20% battery
Fingerprint recognition – All light up with a beep sound if the fingerprint is recognized; otherwise all blink 3 times.

Any Backup to Open it?

Obviously there is no backup methods to open the Pandora case. So please use it carefully and read the user manual before action. Once you cannot open it with your fingerprints, you need to destory it to save your Juul & pods.
