Design & Building
Visually, the Bident kit is pretty compact, and I love the black carbon fiber version received, though there are many other attractive colors.
There is only 1 button on the battery – fire button, so unfortunately this kit did not support auto-draw. LED indicator surrounds the fire button just like other kits. And the charging port is at the right bottom, but it is a USB-C, that’s good.
The connection between the pod and the battery is not magnet, there is a small ridge at each side of the pod, which holds it into place. It’s connected perfectly and easy to remove, but doesn’t fall out on it own accord.
Battery
The Bident battery is 950mAh with USB-C charging port, it can be fully charged in 45 minutes and will suppy you a wholeday vaping power. Here are some basic operations:
- 5 clicks to turn it on/off
- 3 clicks to change the output voltage level
- 2 clicks to show the battery level
Voltage indicator
- White = 3.4V
- Blue = 3.6V
- Green = 3.8V
Battery level indicator
- Red = 0 – 30%
- Blue= 31-69%
- Green = 70-100%
Other indicators
- Yellow light 5 flashes = 10 second timeout
- Red light 3 flashes = No Pod detected
- Red light 5 flashes = Low battery
- Red light 8 flashes = short-circuit or low resistance
- Red light 10 flashes = Too hot / temp high
- Red light for 30 seconds = Device will cut off automatically for safety reasons.
Rebuildable?
Sorry, this pod is not rebuildable, though you can open the pod and change the wire and rewick it. I do not recommend anyone to do this, even though you’re an experienced RDA/RTA builder. Below video was found on INSTAGRAM, I believe it’s only to show you the contents, not to teach you how to rebuild it.
Performance
There are 2 pods in the kit, and up to now I have used them around 7 days.
- N80 0.8ohm coil, recommended wattage: 14-18w
- N80 1.2ohm coil, recommended wattage: 9-12w
Personally, I prefer the 0.8ohm coil, as it is good for DL vaping, both flavor and vapor production are impressive, and the vapor is warm.
While the 1.2ohm pod, I believe it is designed for MTL vaping, while the Bident kit airflow is not adjustable, for me the Bident MTL vaping is too loose and the vapor is cool, though the flavor is not bad.
The battery is enough for me to vape whole day long with 1 charge before bedding. And the pod never leaks, that’s good. For the pod life, I believe they are able to be used over a week.
Pros & Cons
