Design & Building

Visually, the whole kit looks pretty attractive, the color is simple but with very good finish. The only complaint here is the charging port postion – I do believe it will be better to put it at the right bottom, not at the opposite side of the fire button. When you try to fire it, your finger will also touch the charging port, which is not a good feeling.

Battery

The Tyro battery is a 1500mAh built-in battery, which takes around 150 minutes to get it fully charged. 1500mAh is big enough for a 2ml juice tank and will last your whole day vaping, though the charging time is a bit long. There is no variable wattage/voltage settings, and they did not tell the output voltage, just 25W at most. Some simple operations:

  • 5 clicks the fire button – turn it 0n/off
  • Hold the fire button – to vape, 10 seconds cut off with red indicator flashing.

They also did not have clear battery indicator:

  • The LED indicator is on the fire button
  • When battery is enough to power the device, it will show bright indicator
  • When battery is low, it will show red indicator and stop working right now.

The Tank & Coil

The tank holds 2ml ejuice with standard replaceable 510 drip tip. I love the airflow system, which is built in the battery, very easy to adjust the airflow as you desired.

For the top side refilling system, I got some troubles:

  • The filling hole is not friendly for glass tip juice bottles, very hard to fill and the juice keeps leaking out from the filling hole. So I have to use plastic juice bottles. Thanks god there is one in the Vaporesso Renova Zero.
  • The top cap is a bit loose, so sometimes the filling hole opened in my pocket and leaked badly.
  • I believe they have noticed this problem as they changed the filling system in TYRO Nano AIO Kit.

The kit came with 2 Cosmo coils, which are compatible with TYRO kit, TYRO Nano Kit and Cosmo Kit.

Performance

Overall, the Tyro kit performed good for me, I have vaped it for about 10 days now. Never got a dry hit, and no leaking at all. But sometimes I got splitback. Both coils are delivering good flavor with long life span. But personally I love the 0.7ohm coil more as the vapor is warmer and a bit huger cloud.

Summary

Overall, I believe the Tyro AIO to be a pretty darn enjoyable device to use, especially with the 0.7ohm coil. This is something I think I can safely recommend. Would this be an every day device for me? Probably not. But as a backup or a travel set up I definitely think it’s nice.
