Design & Quality

The first impression when I opened the box was how small it is. Compared to Vinci or Vinci X, the AIR is thinner; while compared to NAVI, the AIR is smaller in width.

When I put it in my hands, it feels really nice in my hands and light weight. Despite being so small and light, the Vinci Air feels solid and sturdy.

All corners are round and no fingerprints left on the device. Overall, I am happy with the design and quality.

The Device

The Air device came with a 900mAh built-in battery, which is a bit small for many vapers when compared to other similar devices, like SMOK Novo 2. On the front of the Vinci Air is a round fire button and 2 wattage adjustment buttons on the side. All buttons are just right and clicky.

The display on the Air is different from the Navi or Vinci devices. It’s also a lot smaller. It’s a simple black and white display that shows a battery indicator, puff counter, wattage and coil resistance.

The output wattage can be set from 5W to 30W. However, each coil has a max wattage that it won’t let you pass. The 1.0ohm coil can’t be set higher than 15W and the 0.6ohm coil can’t be set higher than 28W. I think its a good design to avoid coils being burnt out.

Draw activated or button activated? Both are available in the AIR. You can set the Air to do both or only work through button firing by pressing the fire button three times.

The Vinci Air also has two airflow modes. The airflow can be changed by spinning the pod 180°.

Pod & Coils

This small kit came with a 4ml pod, which is pretty impressive. Like other Vinci devices, the drip tip of the AIR is not replaceable. Also it is very easy to change the coils and fill the pod. The pod is held in place by two very strong magnets. The Air comes with two coils:

  • 0.6ohm mesh coil (rated for 20-28W)
  • 1.0ohm regular coil (rated for 10-15W)

Performance

Vinci AIR, what a MTL device! I enjoyed every draw.

For the 1.0ohm coil, you will get the best MTL vaping experience at 12W, it is a kind of tight or restrict MTL, just in the place, not too tight. The flavor is amazing with warm vapor produced.

No dry hits and no leaking problems in my 15-day test. Coil life is noticeably good as well. I’ve used both coils for a week with 4-5 refills each and it still delivered the same flavor.

Pros & Cons

Pros:

  • Small and light
  • Very good MTL vaping experience
  • Good flavor
  • 4ml big capacity

Cons:

  • 900mAh battery capacity is not enough
  • 1A charging is slow

Summary

VINCI AIR is another great product in VINCI family. It is an excellent kit for MTL, for those who prefer DL, I would suggest to buy the Vinci or Vinci X instead.
